Dana Clark, LPC

Dana here…a bit about me…

Like an otter, I am here to curiously explore your child’s inner world, untangle the barriers that get in the way, and build a stronger raft of support with tools and strategies they can carry with them beyond the counseling office.

I have over a decade of experience in community and school settings serving children, teens, and their families. Providing a supportive inclusive environment, I have assisted youth with everything from depression to self harm and anxiety to divorce.

I am a stepmom with two step kids and mom to an independently minded cat named Fezzik. My joys, besides my family, are connecting with friends, gardening, art, and well, otters.

FAQs

Do you take insurance?

I currently do not participate with insurance agencies.

Some insurance plans will cover the cost of an out of network provider for therapy services. Although I do not participate directly with insurance plans, I can create a detailed Superbill that will help you in submitting claims to your insurance company for out of network providers.

I can also take payment through credit card, FSA, HSA, and HRA accounts.

What are the next steps?

Schedule a free consultation call and we will discuss further fit and next steps.

Once we determine fit, we will schedule an hour long Intake session where we explore your child’s current symptoms and how they are effecting them, you, school, etc. I then will meet 1:1 with your child to build rapport and gain a better understanding of their view on their struggles.

I have a person-centered collaborative approach.

Why Otters?

I connected with otters as a child and they have reminded me that curiosity, playfulness, and joy can be created at any moment.

They exhibit core traits of a healthy life; play, rest and connect. They are keystone animals, which means they have a huge impact on their world even if there are only a few of them. And sea otters form a raft of support for each other, committed to not allowing another to drift away.
